Job Description:

The Private Client Associate / Practice Manager / Practice Executive role at St. James’s Place Wealth Management is accountable for supporting Partners / Partner Practice with their documentation and to personally act as a liaison between Hong Kong and Business Assurance in order to develop and continuously enhance the quality of documentation from our Partners to clients.

The Private Client Associate / Practice Manager / Practice Executive will undergo training and gain professional qualifications to enable them to check advice that is provided to our clients before business is conducted. They will also work with Partners and the Business Risk Manager, providing feedback and technical support in order to ensure the quality of advice, documentation and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Help a Partner coordinate information gathering, analysis of this against client needs and production of client financial reports (CFR), suitability letters (SL) and reports.
• Conducting reviews of case documentation for a range of SJP and 3rd Party products
• Conducting Anti-Money Laundering checks
• Liaise with Business Assurance in the UK/Singapore.
• Keep Partners updated by communicating future changes to suitability letters, Advice Guidance Notes, Swift and other factors that may impact on the quality of documentation.
• To act as a point of contact for enquiries from the Partnership
• In addition, they will supply where resource allows, assistance in the gathering of information and production of CYC’s for replacement cases.
• Undertake professional examinations and internal training
• Reporting to Senior Management and providing management information on the quality of case documentation and advice

Required Technical Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Experience of maintaining good working relationships in the delivery of financial advice services or similar environment
• Experience in writing complex and detailed reports for cases
• Ability to assess information, make comparisons and identify critical features
• Ability to acquire update and apply new skills and knowledge
• Set own goals and want to deliver agreed targets

• SCI Paper 1, 4 and 8
• HKCIB papers 1, 3 and 5
• Certificate in Paraplanning with Chartered Insurance Institute (J09, RO1, RO2, RO3 or equivalent)
• Certificate in Financial Planning with Chartered Insurance Institute
